Business electricity in Northern Ireland
Paying too much to keep the lights on? Snap your electricity bill and a local NI team will check it against the rates we've got with the main UK suppliers.
Business electricity rates, checked properly
Business electricity rates in Northern Ireland depend on when you sign, how much you use, your meter type and how long you fix for. We look at all of that from your bill, then check it against the rates we already hold with the main UK suppliers. If we can't do better, we'll tell you straight.
Looking for the cheapest business electricity in NI?
The cheapest headline rate isn't always the cheapest contract. Standing charges, contract length and what happens at renewal all matter. We lay it out in plain English so you can pick what suits your business and your cash flow.
Still in contract?
No bother. Send your bill anyway. We'll note your end date and line up a future-dated switch, so you move across the day your current deal ends and never roll onto an out-of-contract rate.

- Fixed and flexible electricity contracts
- Future-dated switches if you're tied in
- Renewal reminders so you're never caught out

Business Electricity FAQs
Who are the business electricity suppliers in Northern Ireland?
There are several licensed business electricity suppliers in NI and the list changes from time to time. Rather than you ringing round, we check your bill against the rates we hold with the main UK suppliers. Our guide to business electricity suppliers in NI explains more.
What happens when my Power NI business contract ends?
With most suppliers, if you don't agree a new deal before your contract ends you may move onto a standard or out-of-contract rate, which can cost more. Check your end date on your bill or ask us to check it for you.
Will my power go off when I switch?
No. Switching is a paperwork change. The same network still delivers your electricity, and NIE Networks still looks after the poles, wires and meters.
Are there business energy grants in Northern Ireland?
Support schemes come and go, so check official sources such as nidirect and Invest NI for what's open right now. We're happy to help you understand your bills while you look into it.
Can you help with my business water bill?
For most NI businesses, water and sewerage services come from NI Water, so there isn't a choice of supplier to switch to. We focus on electricity, gas, card machines, broadband, phones and funding.
